LEMO Marks its 75th Anniversary in 2021
Founded in Switzerland in 1946 in Morges along the Geneva lake shore, LEMO? took its name from the company's founder, the current CEO’s grandfather, engineer Léon Mouttet. Originally a manufacturer of contacts in noble and rare metals, the company took a major step forward in 1957 with the invention of the Push-Pull self-latching connector.

1969 - A giant leap for LEMO
50 years ago, Neil Armstrong wasn’t the only one taking some important steps. In early December of that year, LEMO first set foot in Germany and this new subsidiary was to become one of the largest in the Group.

New Factory in Budapest Hungary
To increase LEMO's production capacities, a new factory has been built in Budapest-Hungary. The new factory has been running since November 2010 and has a total surface of 10'240 m2.
